Il \u00e9tait \u00e9b\u00e9niste, contr\u00f4leur des viandes, paysan et musicien. Son \u00e9pouse Sophie n\u00e9e au Kreutzweg, fille de fermiers, \u00e9tait couturi\u00e8re d\u2019art au Schleswigholstein chez la famille von K\u00f6hler avant son mariage puis herboriste, droguiste et \u00e9pici\u00e8re au Hohwald, en plus d\u2019\u00eatre une organiste.
